Our 1st Saturday Biyachad! Imagine being a young couple living in Tel Aviv. You wake up to your first morning with a puppy and realize life is no longer about 4 legs, it's about 8. Thinking a picnic outside would be an excellent way to celebrate the adoption of Eden, Itay and I took Eden for lunch on the beach. Itay and I happily walked with our new pet down Ben Yehuda street (of course carrying her because she is not allowed to walk on the street yet, until she has had all of her shots) and found a little restaurant outside near the ocean. Itay asked if it was ok if we had a puppy and as usual, Eden's cuteness helped us earn a table in the shade on a comfortable couch. We sat down together and smiled. Life with a puppy couldn't be that bad... Or could it... We set Eden on the couch between us so we could grab the menus and order. To our surprise, the minute the waiter came to take our order, Eden decided she needed to pee. Within seconds Itay and I noticed our new puppy was destroying the couch we were sitting on...fearful the waiter would see what was happening Itay and I quickly pointed to something on the menu while leaning closer to hide Eden. When the waiter left, we burst into laughter. We had to move to a different couch, had no idea what we ordered and there was Eden, starring at us with her "I didn't do it" puppy face. In moments like these-- all there is to do is laugh...and leave the restaurant ASAP ;)
or put her bag of poop behind our table and let someone else enjoy the rest of his meal...;)
ReplyDeleteomg! mortifying! but being the cutest thing in the world allows you to get away with just about anything.. (so long as she doesn't pee on my couch hehe ;-)
