honor of Kimbo! Eden coming into my life is possibly one of the most amazing things that has ever happened to me. She is sweet, loving, smart... and makes me laugh. Looking into her eyes makes me know how lucky I am to have such a wonderful little puppy. Having these emotions run through me daily, made me almost burst into tears when I talked to one of my best friends from college, Amanda, who recently adopted a Golden Retriever puppy with her boyfriend Greg the same time Eden entered my life. She named her puppy Kimbo (very creative Greg!), after the ultimate fighter Kimbo Slice. But when she adopted Kimbo, Kimbo was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy, a muscle disease that slowly weakens all the muscles in the body. Kimbo was only given a year to live and although he isn't in any pain now, his muscles will not grow and he does not have a long life, maybe only a year to live. The story broke my heart...and Eden sends her love to Kimbo!! Amanda shared with me that although Kimbo's breath smells a little funky and drools a little too much, he is adorable, lovable and extremely well behaved. Kimbo is not currently in any pain, but in a few months will have a harder time living his life. We are sending all of our love to Kimbo in Philly from Tel Aviv x0x0x
